With the crisis in the Middle East hitting the headlines in Britain, and now with two western journalists dead at the hands of the Islamic State, the calls for action are growing louder. In our latest research with The Sunday Telegraph, it appears that most Britons are now prepared for the UK government to take action.

In our poll, three fifths (60%) suggested they would support some form of UK military action against the Islamic State, with 20% opposed.
